Our Story: The Beginnings of Blue Mauritius
The journey of Blue Mauritius began in 2012 with the creation of Blue Mauritius Gold. Crafted from the finest sugar cane distillate, this premium rum is born on the island of Mauritius, where tradition meets innovation.
The process starts with molasses matured for 36 hours, followed by distillation under the watchful eye of master distillers. The resulting spirit is reduced to 60%, blended, and aged for a minimum of one year to stabilize its rich aromas and deep color.
After aging, the rum undergoes traditional cold plate filtration to preserve its full flavor profile—ensuring every bottle delivers a smooth, authentic taste of Mauritius.
