About Symbol Sciences
Symbol Sciences, Inc. (SSci) is the longest existing company engaged in automatic identification (auto-id) technology in the Philippines. Established in 1993 by Conrado M. Dayrit III, who pioneered bar code technology in the country as early as 1989, SSci played a key role in the founding of the Philippine Article Numbering Council (PANC), now known as GS1 Philippines.
With the establishment of PANC in 1993, the adoption of bar code and automated data capture technology in Philippine commerce and industry rapidly proliferated. Today, SSci remains at the forefront of innovation, helping organizations across manufacturing, logistics, retail, healthcare, banking, and construction achieve greater efficiency and competitiveness.
